  • Major – Early Childhood Education; Minor – Public Health Education

Students at ILS learn that Jesus Christ has given them eternal salvation through grace and that it is not something they must earn.  My hope is that students will see that love from Christ each day from every teacher and staff member.  We are all forgiven and loved children of God.

Personal Biography: I’m married to a wonderful husband named Troy and we have a daughter named Claire who is currently in the middle school program at ILS. We attend Immanuel Lutheran Church. Claire started preschool at ILS when she was 3. I remember how nervous my husband I were to have Claire starting preschool at the age of 3. We met the former preschool director, Mrs. Trish when we came to tour the preschool. After meeting with Mrs. Trish we knew instantly that this is where we wanted Claire to attend Preschool.  I started subbing in the 3yr old classroom years ago and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my 40hrs in early child care, which led to the opportunity for me to become the Asst Teacher. I’m very excited to be a member of the ILS Preschool Family and currently teaching in the VPK classroom.

Christal Trlak - Admissions Director & 3 Year Old Aide

Christal Trlak is the Admission Director here at Immanuel Lutheran School and has been since 2018. She
has been a faithful member of the congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1993. She is a
loving wife and devoted mother to three daughters. All three daughters attended Immanuel Lutheran
School from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade from the years 1998-2016. They also were all confirmed
as members at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Throughout that time she showed her love for the church
and school by serving in many and various ways as a volunteer. These included being a home room
parent, assisting in the library, and helping with clerical work in the main office of the school. She also yearly
assisted in the church with items such as the Vacation Bible School program and in the Child Care room to name
a few. From 2008 to 2014 she took on the position of the receptionist for the school, a position that she
thoroughly enjoyed as she was able to daily interact with parents and students. After a short break
away working with infants at a local daycare center, she found her calling, and returned to Immanuel
Lutheran School as Admission Director. She has a total of ten years experience in child care, with
forty-five hours of child care certifications. Additionally, she has a total of seven years of administrative
assistant experience.
